Ruth Parasol DeLeon started her career as an advisor to her father’s technology and real estate businesses. In 1994, she partnered in start ups promoting adult entertainment over the internet and divested her stake in 1996.

Building on her legal training and expertise in developing and managing websites, Ruth Parasol established Starluck Casino Online in 1997. Sensing a niche in the online poker market, she commissioned the development of p2p software that would enable poker fans worldwide to play together online at PartyPoker.com. Launched in 2001, PartyPoker.com became the world’s largest online gaming community. PartyGaming Plc., the parent company of PartyPoker.com floated on the London Stock Exchange and was part

of FTSE100 in June 2005. Ruth Parasol worked as a consultant to PartyGaming till December 2006 and remains a shareholder.

Family Care Project & Philanthropic Activities


In addition to her work as a Founding Member of the International Advisory Board with the Bonita Trust; a non-profit charity trust, Ms Ruth Parasol has also established, with her husband Russ DeLeon, the DeLeon Family Care Project. The DeLeon Family Care Project has provided extensive philanthropic support to community-related causes in Israel, Poland, and Spain. This includes Tel Aviv University, The Museum of The History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, and the Prodean Animal Rescue Center in La Linea, Spain. Her philanthropic activities are committed to tackle family, health & education related issues, targeting community development in Gibraltar and across the globe.

Ruth Parasol DeLeon graduated with a B.A. in Business from the University of San Francisco in 1988 and a J.D. from Western State University College of Law in 1992. She is a British citizen and lives in Gibraltar with her husband and their three children.
